Polymer has been pleased to assist site owners Zenith Hotels and project development managers Transcend Property with the development and implementation of a community engagement strategy in support of a Phase 3 Development Application (DA) for the redevelopment of the Vineyard Hotel in Sydney’s outer north-western suburbs.
The proposed upgrades will create a new motel and outdoor dining, as well as alterations and additions to the existing hotel that include Tourmo sports bar, a proposed retail premises (bottle shop and drive-through), landscaping, demolition of the existing motel and civil works including car parking at the site.
In order to effectively engage with the community about the redevelopment, Polymer devised a comprehensive strategy incorporating stakeholder mapping, key messaging, and an engagement methodology involving community engagement sessions, media outreach and supporting project collateral.
This culminated in a community information session at the hotel on the evening of 21 August 2024, hosted by Polymer Director Andrew Coward, where information about the project’s current planning and construction status, and design principles, was presented to local community stakeholders including residents, property owners and local businesses. Following the session, Polymer prepared a Community Engagement Report outlining the communications and engagement activity delivered over the course of the planning period, to ultimately support the DA with Hawkesbury City Council.
